Dr. Christos Lolis is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics of the University of Ioannina (Greece). He has BSc in Physics (University of Ioannina, 1995), MSc in Meteorology – Climatology (University of Ioannina, 1999) and PhD in Meteorology – Climatology (University of Ioannina, 2002). His main research interests include Climatology with emphasis in Mediterranean Climate and Meteorology with emphasis in Weather Forecasting. He has published 45 research articles in international scientific journals and he has participated in national and international conferences with 44 oral/poster presentations. His publications have been cited in international journals more than 400 times (h-index = 13). He has participated in 9 national and international research and operational projects. His teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate courses is significant in Meteorology, Climatology and Atmospheric Physics. He has already supervised 7 MSc dissertations and 15 undergraduate diploma theses and he is currently the supervisor of two PhD students. He has international collaborations with scientists from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Turkey and he has reviewed a large number of research articles in international scientific journals. Finally, he has participated in the organizing committee of one international scientific conference.
